Welcome

Welcome to scouseSAM 2021. The Society for Acute Medicine's Spring meeting, scouseSAM, will take place online on 29-30 April 2021. This will be a fully virtual conference with the option to watch sessions live and on demand for up to 6 months following the conference dates.

We are letting the essence of Liverpool seep through the conference programme with many of our excellent speakers being local to the Mersey area (scouse translations available on request) and you'll notice the musical flavour creeping into the session titles. Overall though, this is about education and keeping up with the latest advances in medicine and practical messages that are relevant to our day to day practice.

SAM is so proud of its colleagues who have worked tirelessly this last year to provide great care and often evolved our way of working to flex to the latest challenge. Hopefully you will also have felt the benefit of team work and collaboration with our specialty colleagues, making things just that bit better. At the conference we are pulling on this team work approach and collaboration to provide you with updates from all areas of medicine as well as our own.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstract Submission closed on 28 February 2021.  Results were issued by email on 11 March.

We are excited to be working again with Kubify's Learning Toolbox which we used with great results at our 2020 SAMGlasgow Virtual conference. Successful abstract submitters will be invited to build their ePoster for the online ePoster Showcase. These will be available online for several months after the conference extending the life and reach of your work.
